I saw a photo of one of these guys on the web some weeks ago and it hunted my mind till I picked up needle and leftover fabric and made one! :) isn't it simply adorable?

Ho visto una foto di uno di questi gattoni sul web settimane fa e l'immagine mi è frullata in testa finché non mi sono decisa a prendere qualche avanzo di stoffa e farne uno! :) non è semplicemente adorabile?

tea, part 2.... tè, parte seconda

Last week I stitched some small tea bags holders, and after number 3 was finished, I started to think that I could probably use a different pattern for caffeine-free infusions :) I do love both, and so may others. 

So here comes a slightly different design, which I really love. Thought it would be the perfect mantra for a Sunday morning... Just relax (and stitch, maybe!)

La scorsa settimana ho preparato un po' di sacchettini ricamati per le bustine del tè, e finita la numero 3 ho cominciato a pensare che forse avrei potuto usare uno schema diverso per le tisane senza teina :) Amo anche quelle, e forse non sono la sola!

E così è uscito fuori questo disegnetto, che mi piace molto. E poi, sembra il consiglio perfetto per la domenica mattina... Just relax, rilassiamoci (e magari mettiamo giù qualche crocetta!)!!

granny squares... mattonelle di lana

Do you remember my wool scraps? Well, they are being used... and will be hopefully turned into a throw :)

I have been crocheting dozens of flowers for a charity sale some time ago, and while searching for a blanket in the wardrobe I came across the leftover threads. Plenty of them, in different colors. Exactly the sort of wool scraps you need for a shawl or a blanket. So, here I am, slowly building up my small pack of granny squares. I mix up the colors as I go, and make two granny squares for each combination. Will stop when the last bit of wool is finished and then... well, I hope I will have fun sewing them together!

Ricordate i miei avanzi di lana? Bene, li sto usando... e spero si trasformeranno in una coperta in cui avvolgersi sul divano :)

Tempo fa ho creato dozzine di fiori all'uncinetto per una vendita di beneficienza e cercando una coperta nell'armadio ho ritrovato gli avanzi di lana. Tantissimi, in colori diversi. Insomma, il classico tipo di avanzo di lana perfetto per fare una coperta o uno scialle. E così, eccomi qui, a costruire lentamente il mio mucchietto di mattonelle di lana. Scelgo le combinazioni a mano a mano che lavoro e cerco di fare due copie di ogni mattonella. E conto di andare avanti così finchè non finirà la lana e poi... beh, spero poi di divertirmi a cucirli insieme!

time for tea ... ora del tè

I love a cup of tea... well, not just one actually! I am a teapot :) and I do have a few favorites among teas and tisanes. Pu-erh tea for example, or kashmir mistures, with that distinctive spicy taste... yummy! Not always easy to find however, unless you sit in a proper tea-room. So, why not bringing with me a teabag for the emergencies?

Adoro una buona tazza di tè... beh, più di una in realtà! Sono una vera teiera :) e ho i miei preferiti tra i tè e le tisane. Il Pu-erh per esempio, o le miscele kashmir, così speziate... yummy! Non sono sempre facili da trovare però, a meno di trovarsi in una sala da tè ben fornita. E allora, perchè non portarsi dietro una bustina per le emergenze?
